Chapter 7

Tasks and Today

Oct 22, 2026

  1. 7.42

    Today gets cards

A greeting, Tasks for today, a Scratch pad that turns a thought into a task or a song note, and Notes. Search moves into the sidebar, and you can hide any card.

  2. 7.41

    Any window size

Full screen, small windows and a text size setting, so it fits on a laptop next to your session.

  3. 7.39

    Reminders and repeating tasks

Several reminders per task, presets or your own time, tasks that repeat ("every Fri"), and Mac notifications while the app is open. Missed ones are listed once on Tasks.

  4. 7.38

    Tasks you can type

Type "Bounce stems for Avery by 5pm tomorrow" and the date, song and list fill in. Pickers, lists and sections, drag to reorder, edit in place, Undo.

Chapter 6

Credits, and a new coat of paint

Oct 21, 2026

  1. 7.37

    A smarter Inbox

Suggestions from your texts show up on their own, newest first. Call an artist back and the call-back task clears itself.

  2. 7.36

    Today, rethought

Work on next ranks your songs by deadline and the work still left, with this week beside it.

  3. 7.34 – 7.35

    Talk to Alyssa

A mic in her chat: pick your interface, check the level, and she types what you say.

  4. 7.32 – 7.33

    Settings like your Mac

Laid out like System Settings: seven places, a "Needs you" list, Connections, Find a setting, and "Saved ✓" as you go.

  5. 7.30 – 7.31

    Clients and leads

Clients as rows with who needs you first, a page for each artist with your notes and when you last talked, and leads grouped by stage.

  6. 7.28 – 7.29

    Alyssa, redesigned

Answers type out live with a Stop button, an iMessage look, past chats you can search, pin and rename, and a thumbs up or down she learns from.

  7. 7.27

    Getting paid

Checks that each song is registered on ASCAP, DistroKid and STEM, using your own sign-in. She asks before ticking anything.

  8. 7.25 – 7.26

    Credits

A Credits tab and credits on every song page, found on Apple Music, Spotify, MusicBrainz and Muso.ai.

  9. 7.24

    Songs, three ways

Board, List and Catalogue as tabs, with sorting and filters.

Chapter 5

Calendar, memory and the Catalogue

Oct 20, 2026

  1. 7.23

    The Catalogue

Finds every song you've worked on in your Logic and Pro Tools sessions, bounces, texts and email. Shows the cost before it starts, can pause, and picks up where it left off.

  2. 7.22

    "What I know about you"

Alyssa remembers how you work, where each fact came from, and lets you edit or forget any of it.

  3. 7.21

    Alyssa works on her own

Small changes she can make without asking, each with Undo and Redo in "Done for you", each with its own switch in Settings.

  4. 7.20

    Two-way Apple Calendar

Bookings, personal plans and song deliveries sync both ways with Apple Calendar, and your other Mac calendars show too.

  5. 7.19

    Calendar, rebuilt

Day, week and month like Apple Calendar: drag to move, drag an edge to resize, Option-drag to copy, right-click menus.

Chapter 4

Alyssa grows up

Oct 19 – 20, 2026

  1. 7.18

    Group chats and threads

She reads the back-and-forth of each chat, knows which message a reply answers, can draft a reply to a group, and knows your working hours.

  2. 7.17

    Only what matters

"What I missed" keeps work and plans and leaves the rest out. Plans become "Add to your calendar?", with a warning when they clash.

  3. 7.16

    "What I missed"

One card per person who's waiting on you, in their own words, with a one-line take and "Add these as tasks?". Her chat reads like texts.

  4. 7.15

    Keeping an eye out

Every 5 minutes she checks texts and email and taps you on the shoulder with who it's from (never what). Quiet hours, drafts you open in Messages or Gmail, and a monthly spending cap.

  5. 7.13 – 7.14

    Texts and Gmail

She can read your texts and Gmail when you switch it on: off by default, read-only, Gmail with a simple app password.

  6. 7.12

An assistant that looks things up

She searches your songs, tasks, bookings, clients and money before she answers, drafts replies, and learns from what you dismiss.

  7. 7.11

    She follows the conversation

Remembers what you just said, asks when something's missing, and can suggest a new song or client.

Chapter 3

A look of its own

Oct 19, 2026

  1. 7.10

    Every page tidied

Song, project and leads pages with clear Back buttons and the same status everywhere.

  2. 7.9

Colour that reads at a glance

Red for overdue, orange for behind, and a count of both next to the page title.

  3. 7.7 – 7.8

    The Tape Room look

New type, warm paper colours, Light and Dim, and the new app icon.

  4. 7.5 – 7.6

    Your account

An account card in the sidebar, Settings as its own window, sign in with Google, and simpler Tasks. Business details and invoice numbers fixed.

Chapter 2

Sessions, Money and Alyssa

Earlier in 2026

  1. 7.1 – 7.4

    Your sessions, linked

Link a song to its Logic or Pro Tools sessions, search your folders and drives for them, and keep several per song. Read-only: your sessions are never changed.

  2. 7.0

    Money, and Alyssa arrives

Statements, estimates and invoices with payment plans, a PDF with your logo, sending from your own email, and importing from EZ Invoice or QuickBooks. Alyssa joins as a chat (⌘J).

Chapter 1

The beginning

Version 6

  1. 6.8

    The song page

A stage strip you click to move a song along, steps inside each stage, the deadline meter, notes and revisions by round, and the song's story so far.

  2. 6.7

    Tell it what happened

Type or say "vocals are done, the mix got pushed to Friday" and it suggests the changes. You tick what's right. It also learns how long your stages really take.

  3. 6.5 – 6.6

    Reading texts properly

Reads the messages newer macOS hides, knows who each conversation is with, and checks names before suggesting anything.

  4. 6.4

    Today

Your three most urgent songs, worked back from each deadline, with this week's sessions and deliveries. Dismiss a suggestion and say why.

  5. 6.2

    Studio calendar

A calendar for sessions, with optional Google Calendar.
